Any time I need to Christmas shop for gifts I start thinking about my dad and what it is this time that I can get him, most of the time I miss out completely and after a very long Christmas dinner I found out that my gift has been left on the table, not much looked at after it was opened and thanked for. But my gift is not the only one, it is most of the gifts that my father gets that seem to miss the point and never really deli ever something that he needs or wants. Lets fact it, fathers are the most difficult people to shop for.
It is impossible that the perfect, or next to perfect Christmas gift for dads does not exist, I am sure it does, and I am also sure it does not need to be a set of new golf clubs that will leave me and most of you completely broke. What you need is an idea, it does not have to be something expensive or luxurious, just something that your dad can use, even for a short while, enjoy and have fun using.
Since every person is different and everyone has different thing that they are interested in, I am hoping that you know something about the things that your father likes and appreciates, and even it is something that is a little pricy and out of your budget you can still do something with this information. For example, the golf lover will appreciate anything that is golf related, so you can buy little funny things that are golf related, maybe go to a golf shop and get some of the golf training aids, or a golf calendar, a golf DVD or book. If you really find nothing that can be even in the area of golfing goods, just get a golf themed tie.
The idea is that you do not have to buy a sport car for a motorist sports enthusiastic dad, you can just get something that is about what he likes, that gives some tips and advice about how to be better in what they like, or just tells a story of someone who does well in the area that they like.
The last resort is to get a special gift, an idea gift, something that will be used and appreciated once, and that you can use to promote other things as well, this is an idea that some people love to use in order to get a little closer to others, so in the golf example it will be a day out with dad on the golf course, buy a tee time and surprise your dad with a day of fun together, I am sure he will appreciate this. If you cant stand golf try a movie or a theater show, a musical or a concert, if everything fails – just have dinner one day. The idea is to prepare a nice card, saying that he is invited at this and that date to have this and that activity with you, this is one that never fails.
